Dr. G. James Pinchak Memorial Scholarship - Scholarship Award $500 - Must be submitted by March 1st - Established in 2019, the purpose of this scholarship is to help further the education and training of career-technical education students in memory of Dr. G. James Pinchak. The scholarship is available to all current Ohio senior students enrolled in a career and technical education (CTE) program in a city, compact or joint vocational school district. Applicants should be in good standing. Scholarship will be awarded to a senior student successfully completing a CTE program of study. Informational Flyer
Foundation for Appalachian Ohio General Application Form FAO is honored to support over 230 donor-established scholarship funds in sustaining the continued educational pursuits of the region’s students. These scholarships are made possible through FAO’s generous donors. They take pride in honoring the legacy and story behind each fund. Arcadis Scholarship - ongoing scholarship on 24th consecutive year for students of southern and southeastern Ohio as they have an established presence in our area. Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded to students within our region. The goal of this scholarship is to foster college participation. Deadline April 12, 2024
Amelia Fickel-Glenn Moodie Scholarship - This scholarship for students of Perry-Southern school district, with special consideration for students living in the New Straitsville school district. Application deadline is March 8, 2024.
NHS Alumni Scholarship - Applicable to all Nelsonville-York graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards are announced annually at the NYHS senior awards night. Deadline 2/29/24. Submissions will only be accepted online. Link to apply!
Emmett H. Davis Vocational Scholarship - (same link as NHS Alumni Scholarship - select Emmet H. Davis on the form) students who will be pursuing vocational, technical, or trade school education following high school graduation. Priority is given to a student pursuing a career in welding, but other trades are also considered (examples: HVAC, automotive technology, heavy equipment management, etc.). Link to apply!
The Harry B. Crewson Freshman Scholarship provides three $3,000 scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend Ohio University through an endowment with the Ohio University Foundation. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2024. Applicants must be members or the children of members of OUCU. Website link: oucu.org
The Robert Stewart and Howard Latz Memorial Scholarship Athens AMVETS Post #76 is awarding five academic scholarships in the amounts of $3,000, $2,000, $1,000 and two for $500. The candidate must be a Athens High School senior and a son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, or grandchild of a Veteran. Other requirements are listed on the application form linked above. Les Best Dependents College/Vocational Scholarship For OCSEA members’ dependents who are undergraduate students entering or already enrolled full-time in a college or university; or students entering or enrolled full-time in a vocational, trade or technical school or a union apprenticeship. Four $2,000 awards OR three $2,000 awards and two $1,000 awards for the 2023/2024 school year, beginning in the fall. Applicants can apply in one category(member, spouse or dependent) for the Les Best Scholarship. Applications in more than one category will not be accepted. Deadline: April 30th
The Ohio Gas Association Scholarship Scholarships are limited to undergraduate college studies, technical or trade school programs. Must have a career goal in the natural gas or related energy field. Applications are accepted between January 9th to March 31st 2024. Please see the website link for more information and a printable application form.
Bridging the Dream Scholarship This scholarship is intended for high school seniors facing financial challenges who may apply for a $10,000 fund to help them attend college or a vocational-technical school. Please click on the scholarship link for more information on how to apply. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is March 27th.
The Atomic Credit Union Scholarship has been established to recognize and assist students in need at high schools with student-run credit union branches, including Career Technology Centers, who desire to further their education. Scholarships in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) will be awarded and disbursed among our participating student run high schools. Additionally, two scholarships in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) will be awarded to our membership at large. The applicant must be a 2023 graduating senior of a high school or technical school and have plans to enroll or be currently enrolled in an accredited school of higher education as a full-time student in the summer or fall of 2024. The applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The applicant (student) must be a current member of Atomic Credit Union with the account being opened no later than December 31st, 2023. Trimble High School Class of 2002 Alumni Scholarship: This is for Trimble students only! Requirements: Student is looking to continue their education at a college/university or technical school, student has a minimum 3.0 GPA and have also completed volunteer hours in the Trimble Township. Application can be found in the students school email. Deadline: March 1st 2023
Trimble Local Scholarship - This scholarship is for any Trimble senior pursuing a 4 year, 2 year, technical school, or a trade program. Deadline March 1, 2024.
Rio Grande Red Storm Scholarship: If you are planning to attend Rio Grande then this scholarship is for you! Rio Grande offers more than 300 scholarship opportunities to support students in their educational endeavors. Many of these scholarships are provided through the kindness of Alumni and Friends of the university. Students can to apply for these opportunities through the beginning of Fall semester. However, priority will be given to those students who apply before the Priority Filing Deadline. Submitting an application does not guarantee a student will receive a scholarship. The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) is a $40,000 scholarship program ($10K per year, for four years) for students who plan to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs.) The American Chemistry Council has partnered alongside HBCU Week Foundation, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and Chemours to make the program possible. In addition to the scholarship, students will gain leadership development, mentoring and internship opportunities with program sponsors and access to AIChE student networking events. Application requirements are listed here. The application deadline is January 31, 2024.
The Nelsonville Rotary Scholarship for undergraduate study, available to one student graduating from Nelsonville-York and one student graduating from Tri-County Career Center. The purpose of the scholarship program is to identify young people who have demonstrated leadership skills or show potential to be leaders and provide a chance to explore and develop those skills with others of similar capabilities. Students interested in the Rotary Scholarship should complete the application and return it to their school counselor by April 10, 2023. The E.B. Miller Memorial Scholarship This program offers financial assistance to students pursuing a forest resource education. Currently, one or more scholarships are offered each year to Ohio high school graduates who have been accepted into an approved university, college, junior college or technical university offering a forest resource curriculum. David V. Stivison Scholarship (COAD) To be eligible for this scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Be a resident of the 30-county COAD service area for at least one year before the application deadline. 2. Reside in a household with a total annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. 3. Have obtained or will obtain a high school degree or GED. 4. Show proof of acceptance by an accredited 2-year or 4-¬year institution of higher education. Applications must be submitted to the appropriate COAD-member Community Action Agency that serves the county where the applicant resides. A directory of participating Community Action Agencies and the thirty counties they serve can be found on COAD’s website. Application forms can be found on the website linked above. Forms must be submitted by May 1st.
Delta Kappa Gamma Grant in Aid Scholarship Delta Kappa Gamma-Gamma Sigma Chapter of Perry County has a mission to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. One of the ways the chapter seeks to fulfill that mission is through their annual $500 Grant-In-Aid scholarship to a female Perry county student who is pursuing a career in education. Dawn Mingus Reynolds Memorial Nursing Scholarship Applicant must be enrolled in a “full-time” (minimum of 12 credit hours per grade period), state-accredited Nursing Program and reside in Athens County, Ohio. Scholarship application will require an attached written statement describing educational goals and other relevant information. The deadline for this scholarship is May 31st for the following academic year.
Rocky Community Improvement Fund Scholarship The Rocky Community Improvement Fund (RCIF) was created as a way for employees of Rocky Brands, Inc. to become more involved within the community while helping to enhance the quality of life for the people of Nelsonville and surrounding areas. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements: GPA of 3.0 or better. Demonstrated good character in service, leadership, and dedication to your school and

Athens Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship This scholarship is available for seniors enrolled in a high school within Athens county. The Athens Soil and Water Conservation District is offering an opportunity for college bound agriculture or natural resource students to move toward their career goals. Applicants must plan to enroll in a college that offers a major related to agriculture/natural resources. Applications are due by March 31st.
Park Foundation Scholarship Applicant must be a graduating Senior of Miller High School. Two recommendation letters must be included with the application form. An official high school transcript is also required. Applications need to be received on or post marked by May 1st.
Ohio Educational Support Group Scholarship Open to any Ohio 1st year accredited colleges or universities, community colleges and trade school students. Applications must be submitted to P.O. Box 246 Albany Ohio 4571 no later than May 1st. Applications may be handwritten or typed.
Perry County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Applicant must reside in Perry County. This is a 1 year scholarship of $500 for continuing education beyond high school. Deadline April 11, 2024
